I love jello! It is a wonderful treat that is just so fun to eat! (Hey, I rhymed!:)) I thought I would make some “Jello” for my hair! It deserves a treat too, after all it is what I get the most compliments on!
This past week I was getting low on my hair gel. Normally I would be frustrated because that meant I had to go buy more and it is expensive. But this time I was actually excited to run out because I got to make my own hair gel!
I have found two very simple recipes for hair gel and I will share with you the one that I tried. All you use is gelatin and water (Just like Jello)
Dissolve 1 tsp Gelatin in 1 c. warm water store in the refridgerator for one week.
It will take a few hours to set but is worth the wait. I make mine on Saturday night and it is ready to use for church the next morning. I use the exact same way I used my commercial hair gel but spent a fraction of the cost. I have long thick curly hair and this tamed every single frizzy curl! If you want you could add some essential oils to make your hair smell pretty. Hope this works for you too!
